My story
How it started
Hi, I'm Wah. A certified yoga instructor from Thailand.
I embarked on my yoga journey at the age of 35. It was when i started cultivating yoga as a workout exercising.
At that time, i has also suffered from Office Syndrome. Basically the result of years of long hours of work in the past (casino dealer & office). So I got to the point that i need to change.
I learned and practiced yoga asanas at home from Youtube channels. I practiced everyday as I found so much joy, challenged in my body and the result turned out amazing.
From there I decided to do my first yoga teacher training in Bangkok (2014). I wasn't sure if teaching yoga was for me but i did it. As at that time I worked for real estate company in Phuket, Thailand. I travelled back and forth between Thailand - The Netherlands. Later on I got married and quit my job to live permanently in The Netherlands. I slowly started teaching in studio, giving a private or group lessons and workshops when i travelled back to Thailand.
How I transformed
Until I became a mother, a full-time mom, it was completely transformed my life.
Of course, motherhood is not always easy. There are days when I feel like I'm being pulled in a million different directions. I am constantly challenged, both mentally and physically. Committing to a regular yoga practice to become more aligned with my body and mind that helps to keep me grounded, keep me more balanced in life, more self-awareness and more present.
I moved back to Phuket, Thailand in 2019 before COVID pandemic. Set up my studio and raised my son alone there. I lived a simple life, teaching-sharing yoga. I had great support from family, friends and yoga communities. But until... 12th March, 2022.
I was a victim as a pedestrian from a hit -and- run accident. I had severed injuries, fractured of left femur, fractured of popliteal artery. I almost died.
I had to fight through the legal process. I experienced so much painful, disable for months, suffered with emotional, drowned in tears, mind and spirit were apart.
After a year of recovering I got my leg back, i was able to walk on my own. I'm so proud of who i am today. The scars on the entire leg shown me how hard i have been through. I don't want to miss any moment that i could be present because life is too short to hold back from love, happiness or any fears.
The reality is that I have been able to overcome challenges in life and will continue to do so. We are all trying to live our lives in a way that is best for all of us.
